Benny, Leo, Johnny, and Rae Meet King Kong Ch. 5
*Over time, the day turned to night, as a bright moonlight hovered over the Venture. Not much activity took place, except for on deck where several members of The Fantasy Adventure Team were fuming over what had just happened earlier that day*
Leo: I can't believe this! How could a man like Denham not to think to tell us about this "Kong" business in the first place?
Benny: There's a lot of things that Denham hasn't told us since we got here, Leo. I hate it to break it to you, but I just don't think Denham's the man you thought he was.
Johnny: What I wanna know is… Just what is behind that wall anyway?
Rae: I'll tell you this, guys. I've hardly seen anything like it: An enormous wall, stretching all across that piece of land we just went ashore.
Xiro: And what about that one girl with all the flowers?
Teresa: Poor thing, why I reckon she looked as though she were too frightened to be frightened, if you know what I mean?
Leo: *nods* Just as I suspected: Sacrifice.

*Sometime later, a heavy fog builds up along the bridge, outside the wheel-house. The Fantasy Adventure Team, Heath, Denham, Ann, Driscoll, and Englehorn are at the rail peering ahead. Sailors peer along the look-out in the bow, one sailor heaving lead, and sailors cluster at bulwarks on the main deck, watching for a trace of the island*
Heath: Hmm... Fog's as thick as peanut butter.
Johnny: You mean, pea soup?
Heath: You eat what you eat, I'll eat what I eat.
Denham: This infernal fog. Sure of your position, Skipper?
Englehorn: *very nervous, but offended at the suggestion* Of course. Last night, before this fog shut down, I got a good sight.
Denham: We must be near the island.
Leo: Why doesn't that make me feel better?
Driscoll: If we don't see it when this fog lifts, we never will. We've quartered these parts.
Leo: Yep… That does it.
Teresa: Now, no need for fretting. I'm sure these sailors know what they're doin'… I hope.

*By now, The Venture makes her way through the sea drifting off into the unknown. As the morning day turns to a calm tropical afternoon, the Fantasy Adventure Team, Ann, Heath, and Charlie the Chinese cook, are at rail along the decks. Charlie with an enormous tub of potatoes, peels them along with Heath*
Heath: *peeling a potato, sings* Sixteen men on a dead man's chest
Yo ho, ho and away we go…
Dagnino: *irritated* Heath, will you knock it off?! That's getting annoying.
Ann: *looks to Charlie* Say, Charlie, how many potatoes do you think you've peeled in six weeks?
Charlie: Too many.
Kairel: Sailors eat an awful lot, don't they?
Charlie: All time eat. Someday me go back to China. Never see no more potatoes.
Ann: *chuckles* Oh Charlie, isn’t the ocean wonderful?
Charlie: Very pretty. Pretty soon, now you be all same sailor. Only no eat so much.
Johnny: *grabs a peeled potato and eats it* I don't think I'd last if I did that.
Ann: I'd like to be. Only of course,

*The Steam Ship Venture, one of the few tramp steamers in New York, stood bound before the port in all it's glory. A taxi cab makes it's way along the docks, before coming to a halt. As Carl Denham, Ann Darrow, and the Fantasy Adventure Team step off, the team examines the ship they will soon use to depart, watching several crew members load up the ship and hoisting cargo aboard via rope and pulley*
Denham: Well, there she is. What do ya think?
Leo: This is the moving-picture ship?
Benny: Hmm, doesn't look like much. But I suppose this will have to do.
Denham: Well, come on. Let’s get aboard. We leave first thing in the morning.
*As the group prepares to board, walking up the plank towards the ship, they could hear singing coming from a crew member who was swabbing the decks with an old mop and brown water*
???: *singing* I'm sitting on top of the world,
I'm rolling along, yes rolling along
Leo: Hey, I know that song! Al Jolson, right?
Teresa: *motions to a

*Hoboken Docks, New York City - 1933*
*Darkness. The blackest of nights the very sky displays, barely much of anything can be seen except for the skyline of New York City in the background. BEEP!!! The whistle of the tugboat whistles, briefly awakening the night with a blaring flare, as the side of a ship slopes out*
*Coming along the wharf, Weston, a theatrical agent, peers out towards the ship, as if on the lookout for something or someone of great importance. At around fifty years old, heavy and slow, yet with a shrewd eye all the same, he turns up his collar and for a moment shivers, as the cold nightly breeze passes by. He stops for a moment staring out towards the ship, a feeling of doubt can barely be seen upon his expression*
